Love affair with all things red

My love affair continues with all things red. Yes. I’m obsessed and even more so with this beautiful red wrap top from Down Town Chic (available soon ladies!). You can see for yourselves how incredible this red colour is, and needless to say I am desperately trying to wear it 5 days a week to work.

It looks super stunning with classic black slacks and a blazer for work., but also works really well with a black pencil skirt. This top has nailed the perfect line between conservative (the high neck) but also keeps things interesting in the wrapped folds of material and bare arms. Did I mention how versatile it is?

I have a weekend out with some girlfriends coming up and I have already decided to take this beauty for a run with some simple white ripped jeans (check out Mango’s beaut range) and some comfy wedges. You just can’t go wrong with a classic red and white look. Pairing this work top with the ripped jeans takes the ‘work-y’ edge off it and also makes the rips in the jeans look a little more feminine. The two will complement each other really nicely I’m sure. Check out my Insta feed over the weekend to see how I styled this!

My new favourite red top is also super easy and simple to style with some killer accessories. You can easily add some awesome chokers, and cuffs. I would suggest you stay away from pendant necklaces as the folds and wraps on this top are a really cool feature and you don’t want to have too much going on at once. Leave the top to stand out on its own in that department! I love a classic gold and red look, but it also looks great with some silver earrings or necklace.

Enjoy ladies!
